Brady

Lately Mark has been strongly pushing for us to get a puppy. I kept telling him someday and giving reason after reason why now was not a good time. However, on wednesday I went to go buy Mark a puppy. I told Mark I was going to the grocery. Brady came from a litter of 10. He was one of two left. I chose him because he was chunkier and darker then his brother. When I got home, I put a lid over the box and asked Mark to come help me unload the groceries....
When he came out, I asked him to grab the box in the front seat and SURPRISE!!!!!!! He was soo shocked!!!

It was love at first site!

My Prince Charming and a New Pair of "Slippers"

After a long 13 hour shift at work, I could not wait to get home and eat. Mark picked me up at work and greeted me with my very favorite treat: Caribou Chocolate Coffee Cooler!!! Mark kept asking me if my feet hurt...I was a little surprised he asked. And yes my feet always hurt after work!Once at home, I quickly devoured dinner and was about ready to hit the shower when Mark's parents called. I waited to hear the news on an upcoming concert with them, when Mark asked his dad to hold and says "Lyndsay can you grab me some peanut butter" I thought it was really odd that he would stop in the middle of a conversation and almost desperately ask for peanut butter. I walked to the cabinet quite puzzled and opened the door to find.... Some brand new pink Nike shoes!!!!!!!!!!!

Here I am trying on my new shoes. He also got me special insoles for added comfort and cushion!!!

This is me ready for work in my new shoes with extra cushion and my beloved Caribou! It's going to be a good day thanks to my Prince Charming

Furniture lesson 101

Today is really exciting in the Petrich household as we finally have our family room furniture!! It was not the best day for delivery because it was sprinkling outside but the movers were good about taking shoes off and we were able to quickly wipe the furniture off. After the furniture was all moved in, Mark and i spent the next hour and a half trying every possible arrangement. However we never found something we liked. You see when we picked our furniture we did not take into consideration how much extra room would be recquired for the RECLINING part of the sofa, love seat, and lazyboy. We spent a lot of time laughing at how ridiculous we are for buying so much bulky furniture for our quaint family room. At one point Mark actually thought this layout would work. I couldn't stop laughing at what he designed and that he thought it was acceptable. I mean seriously wall to wall furniture!! haha! Finally we decided the lazyboy just would not fit in the living room. We carefully crammed our beloved lazyboy into our bedroom.

Although it is not ideal it will work. Finally we were able to come up with a finished family room. We are both VERY pleased with the final product. We now know when buying furniture to consider all of the room the extra features may take. We do not regret having bought all of the reclining furniture because we know eventually we will have a room large enough for all of it!! Here are some photos of the finished room!! I put one of every angle!!

Maybe someday we will have a plasma tv above the fireplace :)

I LOVE the rug and pillows!!!
This is the BIG clock Mark found at Kohl's! We got it 75% off!!
We are shopping for a good deal on a large mirror to hang above the sofa.
