Back Home Again in Indiana...

Hayden did really well on the flight...sleeping 3 out of 4 flights for the whole trip.

This is us on one of our layovers. Hayden attracted a lot of attention with his cuteness!!

During chuch Hayden slept on Grandpa, and during the prayer decided to fill his pants very loudly. He was grunting and tooting..it was quite the production and needless to say those around us could hear him with no trouble!

Hayden also met his Uncle Justin and Aunt Heather...Hayden was very excited at the announcment of a new cousin in October...check out pictures of the new cousin on the Gardner blog (link to your left)

At Grammy's house Hayden enjoyed many new adventures...

Hayden got tons of gifts and met many people at the shower!

It was beautifully decorated, with great food, and fun games!

It was wonderful to see so many friends and relatives on such a short trip!

In the end, Mommy and Hayden returned home for some much needed rest!

The last few weeks...

Hayden is getting more and more interested in toys as well as his hands!

So I got the bright idea to change Hayden's diaper on the floor where he was playing with Daddy. While I had the diaper off, I said to Hayden "Don't pee on mommy. But you can pee on daddy (who was laying next to Hayden)" and right on cue he peed on Daddy! It was sooo funny! At least it didn't get on the carpet!

Hayden visited family on Daddy's side for Easter. He got to meet his many many cousins and Great-aunts/uncles on the Ties side.

It was all a little overwhelming! The Ties cousins had an easter egg hunt with 500 eggs. Hayden can't wait to get in on that action.

Hayden also went to his frist ball game. We watched the T-wolves get dominated by the Suns. The game was a disappointment but we did get to see Shaq!

Hayden loved all the noise and lights...but like Easter in the end it was a little too overwhelming... leaving someone a little overstimulated and irritable!

In sad news, I found out that due to economy the unit I work on is now permanently closed. Fortunately they are placing all of us nurses in other units... unfortunately this may mean an area we are not interested in as well as a change in hours/schedule. Big bummer!

I must say it has been very hard waiting for them to get to me on the list so I could pick from the openings left on the list. Yesterday they finally reached me and much to my surprise I was able to remain in Cardiac care. My hours are changing and I have to work every other weekend and an extra holiday. But I am very thankful to remain in an area familiar to me as well as just having a job! The photo is of me and a co-worker at the "funeral" for our unit. I worked with a really awsome group of nurses who have become a part of my family. It will be really hard to go to work without them.

Baby Grunter

As many of you already know, Hayden is the loudest grunter when he is filling his pants. One morning I woke to the sounds of his grunting. This time it was the loudest I had ever heard, I could even hear him on the other side of the house. So I thought I would make a little video of it. After getting my camera, he stopped grunting as much or as loud. Of course this seems to be how it always goes when I want to catch something on film. Any way, as you see in the video he falls asleep so I turn the camera off. No sooner had I set the camera down, his eyes pop wide open and he resumes the loudest grunting again. I swear to you he loves playing tricks on me!!

Imitation

I discovered that Hayden would try to imitate me clucking my tongue on the plane to visit Grammy and Grandpa. At first I wasn't sure if that was what he was doing, but everytime I cluck at him he gets his tongue a going too!!

I now have proof so when I ask him to do something when he's doing something else the "But you're so much better at multi-tasking" line isn't going to work :)
